10 of the best July DJ sets and podcasts

July has been a killer month for DJ sets and podcasts, with heaps of amazing new mixes from our label artists, friends and supporters.

We’ve put together a Soundcloud playlist of our favourites from this month to make it easy for you to soak up the goodness, with plenty of upcoming freshness from Open you’ll hear for the first time.

First up is FunkForm‘s amazing live set from Matter‘s Ultra Sound radio show on Proton. Packed to the brim with tunes from his upcoming album on Open Records, this 100% original set isn’t just one of the best this month, it’s one of the best of the year!

For the 39th edition of the AU Underground podcast, Retza delivers an absolute stunner with no less than four new original tunes you won’t have heard unless you’ve caught the bearded wonder live. Definitely one of our favourite editions of AU Underground yet (a tall order among illustrious company), you definitely need to check this one out.

New York’s Allies For Everyone was kind enough to feature dreamAwaken & Kurtz‘s new single D.S.S. on his new Voyage of Spirits mix for the Melody Lab podcast, while AU Underground’s Dylan Griffin dropped the Ord Rede remix on 3Fold Radio on Melbourne’s Kiss FM. Rising Israeli stars Jos & Eli also supported the Ord Rede remix for their new PlattenBank podcast.

Aussie prog lord GMJ has two mixes in the list, including his long awaited 100% original set from Rainbow Serpent Festival, and a killer podcast for Perfecto Black Radio. Tonelab dropped a killer live set for BPM on Melbourne’s PBS, while the latest edition of Anthony Huttley‘s Toa Sound podcast features a wicked guest mix¬†from Rich Curtis.

Finally, you can’t go past our good friend Eitan Reiter to close us out, with his stunning Deep Water Set recorded live on the beach. If you prefer, we’ve embedded the video of the last podcast below in all its glory.

Big ups to everyone who supported our tunes this month, love your work. Enjoy!
