Doppel can do no wrong at the moment, with an increasingly busy schedule of headline shows around the country and one of the best live shows in Australia.
From festival main stages to sweaty club crowds, the man from Canberra has been electric wherever he goes and worthy of every bit of praise being heaped on him right now.
Luckily enough for us, there are recordings of not one but two of these amazing shows for future generations to enjoy – and we think you’ll be just as impressed as we were when we caught them live.
The first is recorded on Easter Sunday during the Bassic Records showcase at Rabbits Eat Lettuce 10th anniversary, a couple of hours drive inland from Byron Bay.
It was without a doubt one of the best sets of the whole festival and set the tone for an amazing evening of tunes from our good friends at Bassic Records.
The second was the Sunday after in Brisbane in the iconic Capulet garden at a very fruity edition of Get Together.
Going down as one of the best parties so far this year in Brisbane, Doppel was again at his absolute best and we manged to livestream it from an iPhone.
Excuse the bad sound recording and general mayhem in the DJ booth, but hey, that’s live!
