One of Australia’s favourite boutique music festivals is set to return to the World Heritage-listed surrounds of Barrington Tops in New South Wales from December 5-7, bringing with it one of the best line-ups you’ll see in Australia this year.
Subsonic Music Festival is always one of the top events on the Aussie calendar for the year and 2014’s instalment looks to be one of the biggest yet, with the first-round line-up including the likes of James Holden (live), Ellen Alien, Addison Groove, Alexkid, Factory Floor, Pepperpot and Eli Verveine. Expect plenty more national and international acts to be announced very soon, alongside a full arts, culture and lifestyle program.
Outside the music, one of the best reasons to visit Subsonic Music Festival is its lush location at Riverwood Downs Mountain Valley Resort, located on the banks of a mountain river in the foothills of the Barrington Tops World Heritage Wilderness area. It is located in a beautiful rural area known as the Monkerai Valley between the towns of Stroud and Gloucester, around 2.5 hours from Sydney.
Riverwood Downs is the perfect camping festival setting with toilets, showers, a kiosk, shelter and a beautiful river to swim in – dirty doofing is definitely a thing of the past at Subsonic!
