Rex’n’Chappo – Hurdy Gurdy out at Beatport now!!!

Open Records is proud to announce that the first release from Melbourne artists Rex’n’Chappo has hit Beatport. Hurdy Gurdy is a stellar 3 track release showcasing the sound of this fresh and exciting outfit, made up of celebrated Australian jazz musicians and electronic music producers Ian Chaplin and Philip Rex (aka Decoy and The Imps with Minilogue). Launching their stunning (and completely improvised) live show across Australia over the last 12 months or so, Ian and Philip are now ready to take their new project to an international audience, both live and on Open, with a string of releases  on the way. It appears the world is listening, with their debut already picked up by some of the biggest in the business, including Dave Seaman, Anthony Pappa, Umek, Minilogue, Hybrid, Tom Hades, Meat Katie and loads more, as well as getting spins on some of the biggest and most respected dance music radio shows across the globe. We hope you enjoy this first release on Open from Rex’n’Chappo – we can guarantee it’s certainly not the last!
